Commemorative Medals Criteria:

Commemorative Medals are not authorized for wear on active duty military uniforms.

They serve to honor participation in a specific conflict, action, or service, and can be worn to commemorate an event and they may also be displayed separately, either in a shadow box, collection, or worn on civilian attire or or unofficial uniforms.

If worn on civilian clothes, or unofficial uniforms, commemorative medals are typically worn on the left breast, below any official awards or on the right lapel, but not in the same line with official medals.
