RVN Naval Service Medal Criteria

The RVN Naval Service Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving the Republic of Vietnam in any capacity in or with the armed forces of the United States, shall serve as a crew member aboard a Naval Ship of assigned to a land based Naval Unit or Installation. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or heroism or for meritorious service by the Honor Grade notation on the award certificate.
